Yesterday, my brother got his Rock Band in the mail, and boy was he eager to open it and play. All of yesterday and today, there has been a game going on in the background. I have so many songs stuck in my head, including 'Gunpowder and Lead', 'Eye of the Tiger', 'Move Along', and others. It is such a jumbled noise in my head and unfortunately, it's not just in my head. As I type, both my brothers and two of their friends are playing with two guitars, one drum set and one singer. The scratchy singing combined with the inconsistent beating on the drum pads are such a racket. I think I am going to go crazy! I won't lie, it is a fun game to play-when you are playing, but to watch and listen-----run away!!! Save me!
On a different note, this weekend, I am taking care of pets for three different families; I hope the pay is worth it. I love animals and all, but sometimes taking care of them can be a pain in the you-know-where.
Shout-out to everyone I have met at DRG! Some of you should be looking at my blog sometime soon... I love you all! :D
Oh my goodness! The outcome was so much better than I imagined! If you saw my Pre-Love Story post, you would know that Angela and I made our own version of Taylor Swift's "Love Story" and the final product has been uploaded! It is not on my blog, but on Angela's, here is the link:
Please check it out and let me know what you think! It was a first and was just for fun, we didn't get to finish filming so that is why there is no video of the characters at the end... Enjoy!
Hello everyone! Here I am again with another fabulous giveaway! This time, it is through Allie Early's blog, Sundresses and Smiles. Allie recently became a Mary Kay rep. so she decided to do a special giveaway and a discount code for Mary Kay cosmetics. My mother used to be a Mary Kay representative and from what I know, it was a good experience and I like their products.
Allie is giving away 1 TimeWise Firming Eye Cream, 1 Mineral Eye Color in the color of her choice, 1 Eyeliner in the color of her choice, and 1 Ultimate Mascara in the color of her choice! A value of $61.50 and everything you need for that gorgeous eye look!
Angela and I have created our own version of Love Story music video by Taylor Swift and she is editing it and I am so eager to see the finished product! It was so much fun to film and I cannot wait to show you guys! Love you!
Hey everyone, here is a random pic of me with glasses....
Haha, I don't wear glasses, these are my mom's but I felt like taking a picture in them just for fun! :D
All of my clothes smell like camp and I kind of like it that way, because I didn't want to leave camp and have so many wonderful memories!
-On Thursday night, during worship, people went up on stage and told everyone something good that happened to them during the week. My whole entire group decided to go up together and when it was Olivia's turn to talk, she basically just said she was very glad she came and she felt so much closer to God and that it was her first year. Then she said "I should have come soomer!" She completely lost it and the audience cracked up.... It was hilarious.
-A youth group from Mississippi was there and there was this really crazy and hilarious girl named Serra (Sarah/Sara) who had a strong accent and so someone asked where she was from, and without thinking, she responded. "I'm from Mippississi!" It was so funny, and then she spit her water in their face because it was funny and because they made fun of her because she accidentally said that! :D
-My entire group learned a song by Bruno Mars, Count On Me, and we sang it the entire week at the most random times: When we were tree climbing, eating dinner, jumping in puddles, (We made up a puddle dance and got soaked to the bone because it splashed so much!), at the Cafe, on the way to Big Top, in the middle of nowhere, etc. etc. The part of the song we sang goes like this, "You can count on me like 1-2-3, I'll be there. And I know when I need it I can count on you like 4-3-2, you'll be there. 'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah..." We all became so close to each other and I am so glad I can now call Abigail, Kilraine, Richelle, Emily, Susannah, Sydney, Hannah, Olivia my closest friends! :D
-I got four welts from playing paintball, two on my left leg, one on my right shin, and one in the center of my chest. They have all now turned into bruises...
-I beat everyone in tether-ball!!! Including a guy that is older than me who I played 4 times and beat four times. Everytime I beat him, he was like, "Oh, I'll beat you in the next game!" Then he lost-again. What was funny about it though, was that about 10 of his friends were standing around him watching him get beaten and were making fun of him for losing!
-I have bruises, deep cuts, scratches, bug bites all over my body! I also have a bit of a farmer's tan from wearing a t-shirt and shorts all week, including at the lake! :P
This video helps to visualize just what I experienced at camp and gives a better understanding. There are no words to describe this camp-it is too amazing!
I had a ton of fun, and got some scares, including a 4-5 foot long snake in the water around the blob while I was on the blob... haha :) There is so much to tell and I can't even remember it all, but when I do, I will fill you in!

I got this nail polish for 80 cents on clearance! :D
Oh-Em-Gee! DRG 2011 was ah-mazing! I made so many new friends and now have so many more sisters in Christ and I feel like I learned sooo much and am so much closer to God and confident about myself! Next year, I hope to participate in 17/3 (2 week leadership program) or possibly SALT (3 week leadership program). http://www.doerivergorge.com/index.html
Thank you for sending me messages, those of you that did, and thanks to all who helped at the camp and helped me be able to go to camp! :D
Hello everyone! I am sorry I haven't posted in a while- I have been dealing with some hard times the past few days and it has really affected me.
Anyways, this is my 100th post! Yay! :D I don't know how I am going to celebrate it though...
This is a heads-up: I will be absent from blogging for a whole week, starting tomorrow, because I will be at Doe River Gorge, a camp I mentioned in another post, Best Camp Ever!!! But, just because I can't blog doesn't mean you can't talk to me! DRG has set up a page on their website where you can send messages to the campers. I would absolutely LOVE to hear from you guys, and you can send me as many messages as you like!
Send Me A Message @ Camp! Click on this link to send me a message. Then, all you have to do is enter my last name, Conn, and my birth month, October, and click, 'Find Camper.' It should pull up that you are sending a message to Katelyn Conn (ME!)
Then you can type your message and Send! I will receive all of my messages at the end of each day, and it is always a highlight of the day. You don't need to be a follower to send me a message, and I would love to receive mail from you all! It would make my time at camp really special, and you can send multiple messages, everyday if you want.
***The last I will be able to receive messages is Thursday night, so make sure you do not send any past Thursday! :D
Hmmm... anything else I should add? Don't try to send me any messages before tomorrow (Sunday) or else it won't pull my name up. I think that's about it. :D Send me a message! :D Luv ya!
I am accident prone. I do not know how, I do not know when, I do not know why, but I hurt myself-again. Apparently I have medial epicondylitis, which is an overuse injury affecting the flexor-pronator muscle origin at the anterior medial epicondyle of the humerus.
Because of this, I will be starting PT again... whoop-dee-doo
I am very excited for two reasons:
1.) Tomorrow I am going to a party and we will hopefully be going to Orange Leaf!
2.) Today I get to do my mom's makeup!!! :D
I will try to post pictures of #2 if she will let me! This is a random post, I know, but oh well.
... and Will and Sara and Kylie and Angela makes me miss all of my friends from school!!! It is only beginning the second week of summer for me, and I already miss everyone. That calls for a party or something! Unfortunately though, (for me anyways...) one of my besties is enjoying herself in Boston and I have gymnastics so often that I cannot do diddly-squat... :P
Anyways, Sunday I was bored so I did a random makeup look. I don't know what you would call it, so call it what you want. It is kind of a purple smoky eye, but not really... I used many different products and I will list them but I'm not gonna take the time to explain how I did it... I am lazy today.

Sorry about the lighting, I took the pictures with my phone...
Please pardon the fact that I did not clean up around the edges of my nails and did a quick and sloppy job of painting them, just to get them done! :D
I learned how to do this by two different tutorials, and am absoluteley IN LOVE with it!!! :D
Basically, all you do is paint your nails a light color and once it is completely dry, you dip a piece of newspaper in rubbing alcohol and place it on your nail and hold it there without moving it (to prevent smudging) as if you were applying a temporary tattoo. You repeat for all the nails, then seal it off with a top coat! Easy! :D
Here is another spectacular giveaway that all my friends and followers should definitely enter! Ashley B. Borysewich is giving away 5 new L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge lipsticks:

Well, yesterday I went to the pool without sunscreen. Why? Because my parents moved the sunscreen so I had no idea where it was, they were not home to help me find it and my mom wouldn't answer her phone... so, I look like a tomato from the front- I never turned over, just laid on my back so only the front is burnt. I now look like this: (Maybe a little worse...)
THIS IS NOT ME! It is from Google Images
I never showed you guys what my bathing suit looks like though, so I will do so now! :D
This is my bathing suit and it is really cute, but unfortunately, I have to go and buy a one-piece for camp.... (It is a Christian camp so they have rules...) and I hope that I won't have two different tan lines. I probably will though. :( I am pretty sure I have the one-piece picked out already, but I will have to try it on, in-store.
It is a cute sailor color scheme halter and is pretty comfortable and cute, for a one-piece. I will probably wear it when I go diving too.... if not, it could end in disaster! :P
I hope you have avoided sunburn, and I hope my sunburn is worthwhile and turns into a tan... lol
As I promised, here is the haul from my shopping trip yesterday with my girlies. I didn't buy much, for two reasons: 1.) I don't have much money 2.) I didn't really need anything, and what I did need (summer clothes) I didn't have the money for.
We stopped at Sephora and I purchased two items that are being discontinued so they were extremely cheap. They were the Jumbo Eye Pencils, at $4 each!
Metallic lilac (top) and metallic gray
left : lilac, right: gray
I also stopped at Aeropostale and picked up three items: new shades for only $5.99, (they were 75% off,) a cute crop top for $3.99, (originally $19.50) and a cream colored cami, a must have! :D
crop top from Aero and sunglasses on head :)
Yes, like I said, it is a very small and mini haul, but oh well... :) It was fun and I am happy with my purchases!
In just an hour, I will be rewarding myself by shopping with friends! I had a long, hot, tiring and painful practice at gymnastics today and feel like treating myself to something-I don't know what-and am soooo glad that my friends and I had a shopping trip set up for this afternoon! I will do a haul post after the trip, so probably by next week I will have a haul post, so keep checking back for that.
Even though I injured myself, again, at practice, I got some new skills and am very glad! In addition to getting new skills, I started vaulting for the first time in five whole months and am vaulting at the same level as my teammates so the injury did not hold me back on vault, thankfully! :D
3:33:33..... :D
Haha, the alarm on my iPod just went off for 3:33:33, so that is why I typed that.... lol
"I wish for..................."
:D
Anyway------ I need to go take a shower to get the chalk off of me from practice and finish eating so I will be ready to 'shop 'til I drop' and pick up Sara and Saba from their house to shop! Love you guys, you are amazing! ;)
Last year, my seventh grade year (2009-2010) I was in a Language Arts class with 14 students, and we all wrote a novel and received t-shirts to show it! The class was an excellent experience and we all really bonded and had some great times and inside jokes... (Crackling with color!)

This year, with one day left of school, we had a reunion for the class and ate lunch together and had a little party.

Way to go, Grace, Way to go...
Will ruined a perfectly good picture, but I just had to post it!

We had tons of fun at the reunion and I hope I will see all of them again soon! I miss the class so much and all of the fun times we had together! Enjoy high school, everyone!

I know, the picture is really dark-but I didn't take it. I have a green v-neck, cap-sleeved tee tucked into a cute black dressy skirt, black flip-flop wedges and pearl earrings/necklace.
I know this was a very picture heavy post, but I LOVE looking at pictures and I have more pictures coming soon! :D
