Guess what I won????

Well, the photo kind of gives it away, but yes, I won a pink iPod Shuffle! There was a raffle at the UK Gymnastics breast-cancer-awarness-pink-meet for a free pink iPod Shuffle. I entered my name twice and thought nothing of it, until they called my name out loud and told me I was the winner. I was there with my twin sista, Erin... (follow her on her blog, where she mentions this night as well, http://www.bighappykyfamily.blogspot.com/) She told me that I should've seen the look on my face when they announced my name... LOL, wish I could've. A lot of people that I knew from nastix were there, and they were all like "If you don't need that, I know someone who does..." or something along that line. Even Erin's mom wanted it. :) It made my night sooo much better, for one I was with Erin, whom I never get to see, and then I won that, and then UK won! Yayay!

Unfortunately, right after I won the iPod, one of my favorite gymnasts, Whitney Rose, started her first tumbling pass on floor and collapsed. Her ankle had been turned in and as a result her knee was in as well, as she landed. This caused her knee to buckle or something bad enough that made her collapse, and not be able to get back up. Instantly, a hush fell over the crowd and they turned off her floor music. She hadn't been having a good night, though she won something on vault. She had already fallen once on her jump sequence on beam, and now this. After about 7ish minutes, they put her on a wheelchair/stretcher thingy and took her away to be examined. She never came back out, and there was a feeling of depression hanging in the air. The judges still counted her score based on the 10 seconds of routine that she had done before she collapsed: they gave her  a 4.700, but UK still won. The final score was 195.575(UK) to like 192.95(LSU). We won by quite a bit, which was interesting because LSU was ranked 4th, and we are 21st... something wrong with the picture???

I hope Whitney is okay, but it seemed to be a pretty bad injury so she will probably be out the rest of the season. :(

Shout out to Erin & WEG Opening Ceremonies!

Shout out to my twin sister, Erin! Hey, I miss you soooo  much and I can't wait to see you soon. Had a lot of fun at your Valentine's Day party and am soo excited to be a Commodore with you next year! Even though it is really late into the 'season' for Junior Company, congrats again for being in it. Ditto to my WEG bestie, Brianna Mayo, whom I had sooo much fun with at the WEG opening ceremonies... ( I miss Jello Degeneres, and Jayda too! :D ) You're the best actress I know and am glad I have gotten to see your performances, now you need to see me compete!!! :)

For those of you that are clueless, my brother and I, along with one of my best friend's sister, as well as Brianna Mayo, (as mentioned above) and about hundreds of other kids and teens from Lexington got together and auditioned to be in the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Approx 150 kids and teens made the cut and practiced a longgggg time, almost every day for about a month to prepare to be part of the entertainment for the opening ceremonies. We walked out the athletes, carrying a sign with the country's name on it, (I had Ireland anddddd USA! :) Yay!) sang, danced, and participated in mannnnnyyyy of the opening ceremonies acts. It was a lot of fun, some of us got to perform with Wynonna Judd, and some of us got to see Muhammad Ali... also, by participating in this, we also had the opportunity to perform for Bill Clinton at a fundraiser! It was fun, but we didn't get to see him... Ocho Cinco was at that performance too! :) The practices were long and sometimes hard, but they were fun and if I had the chance to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing! :) Enjoy the pics and comment or email me for more info, this was very brief...

No school today + no friends today = I'm bored

Well, it is President's Day, so there is no school. Usually I would be very happy about this, and don't get me wrong, I am glad there is no school, but I had nothing to do today and my mom was sick, so I was stuck in the house to watch TV shows about wedding cakes and to do my geometry homework. I was supposed to work on an art club project with Saba, Sara, and Angela today, but since my mom was sick, she couldn't take me anywhere and the others were kinda busy. I got up at 9am today, so much earlier than I usually do, (If allowed, I usually sleep until 11:30 on average) and I ate and watched the final episode of Hannah Montana. Then I read, (I finally finished the Twilight saga! It wasn't lame like I thought it would be..) and got on email-but no one was on, so I sat down and watched some shows on TLC about wedding cakes and all these other cakes that cost a bunch. One of them was $4,800 for a girl's 15th birthday! Then I did homework and tried to clean my room, but I didn't feel like it so now I am here, typing up my lovely boring day for you... I hope yours was better than mine! :)

Review over E.L.F. mini makeup collection! :)

bronzer, blush, brow powder

lipsticks
The lipsticks are nicely pigmented and are good shades, but they are all very similar and hard to apply without a proper brush. The eyeliner glides on easily, but it isn't a black color like indicated. It is a light black, or dark grey color and wears off easily. The black eyeshadow is amazing! The others, not so much, some are more pigmented than others, as you can tell from the picture. The bronzer is really nice, especially for my skin, the blush is nice and sweet, and the brow powder, well, it is kinda light, but it looks good and is easy to apply, though all of the powders are flaky... :)

Taylor Swift Tickets AVAILABLE NOW!

The Taylor Swift Speak Now tour tickets for Rupp Arena on October 29 are now on sale and I am super exicted! No, I do not have tickets-yet, but I really hope I will get them. Since it is in October, I figured it could be my 15th b-day present! These are some pictures that I took at the Fearless tour last year in April with Angela! :)  I had 11th row seats on the floor and I must say, it was, by far, the best concert I have ever attended, and I have been to a LOT of concerts!

WINTER JAM 2011!!! :)

Winter Jam 2011 is approaching, and I am on the edge of my seat anxiously waiting for it arrive! Only $10 at the door, you get to choose any seat available, it just depends on when you get there. This is my 4th year in a row of going, each year I have gone with someone different. Last year, I had amazing 4th row seats, only $10! :) It is an amazing concert, one of the best I have ever seen, and there is even a pre-jam with amazing artists!

Every single year I have gone, I have learned something new, and every year I get to see the greatest artists of christian music perform! It is really worth seeing, even if you are not a christian of any sort, you will have a ton of fun and will be amazed!

March 12, 2011 6pm Rupp Arena

The best concert ever!!!

Doors open at 5pm, pre-jam at 5:05pm
If you plan on going, try to arrive at Rupp Arena at least 15 mins before you want to be inside, (there are massive lines) so that you can actually be inside when you want. If you want reallly good seats though, get there at least 45 mins before, the line starts at least six hours before 5pm. (That is my group this year!) Just sharing a little bit of my knowledge from past years...

***Cash and check are only accepted methods of payment!!!

Obviously, I am going, and I will be there with some friends (hopefully) so let me know if you may be interested in coming! It really is an amazing show!

Renovation!

Soooo, yesterday we had new flooring put in, in our kitchen and our laundry room, so everything was in a place that it shouldn't have been. As you can tell, our refrigerator is in the front hallway, in front of the front door... Sorry, the lighting in the kitchen is super duper bright because there are five windows in there, so the window in the wall connecting the two rooms is hard to see through. Also, our table is in front of the piano, and the computer, and the pieces that make the table bigger, (the ones you put in the middle for when family comes to dinner) are in my bedroom floor... :( My cats are having a blast running around in the empty kitchen and sliding all over the floor, thankfully, the kitchen is semi back to normal now... :)

Evolution of Smooth

Evolution of Smooth, the newest and quickly-taking-over-the-world brand that makes different products, including hand lotion, body lotion, shave cream and lip balm. They carry two types of lip balm, my favorite shown below. Angela has the lemon drop flavor, and I the honeysuckle honeydew. They are approximately $3.49 and can be found at Kroger and Walgreen's, and last a long time, even when on your lips. It keeps your lips reallly smooth and soft and they smell very delightful, some scents more subtle than others. I would highly reccommend this product to anyone, and they come in fun little containers... :) Check it out on their website above!

V-Day is approaching fast!

Nine days until valentine's day! This year, I don't really have anything pink, or red, that I can wear on V-Day. I honestly don't like red too much, but when I got my gymnastics leotard for this year, I liked red a little more. I never have been a pink-y girl either... even though my room is pink.....

Leo Design up-close

I do have a favorite color of pink though, and I discovered it through an OPI nail polish, called Strawberry Margarita.  It is a really cool hot pink, and I have it on my toesies and my fingers right now! :)
Yeah, so it looks like I am gonna have to find something cool and color coordinated to wear for V-Day! I have V-Day socks, heart earrings, cute nails, pink eyeshadow, pink jewelry, but no pink clothes... what kind of girl am I? Stereotypes, stereotypes. Honestly, I like blue best, any shade of blue. Am I a Girly-Girl or more of a Tom-Boy?

Tell me what you all think of V-Day and whether I am more girly or boy-y. Bye!

The Sick Bug

As a dear friend of mine's sisters once said, "The heimlich manuever helps you when youre choking..." Yes, it does, and from the looks of it, a lot of people may be in danger of choking on all of the nasty sick bugs that are flying around. I know, that is a weird analogy thing-sort of, but oh well. The flu is infamously popular right now, my bro has a combo of strep and a 103 fever... Angela is a runny nose mess, Julia has a runny nose that makes her sound super cool, (that's not sarcasm) whenever she talks, tissues are filling all of the landfills in every direction, I don't feel great, (my nose, throat, back, head, knee hurt) and lotsa other people are sick.

Now I am gonna sound like your mom:
Wash your hands and suck on those cough drops, use those tissues and smile lots, annnddd
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, in the most delightful wayyyyyyy!!!! :)
